Seal Bay Observation Challenge
July 1 - August 31Free
The ‘Observation Challenge’ is an initiative of Back Country Horsemen of BC’s North Vancouver Island chapter, in cooperation with the Comox Valley Regional District and Active Comox Valley. It is designed to encourage individuals and families on horseback, bicycles or on foot to enjoy time in the park and look for 12 ‘things’ along the multi-use Forest Loop trail, according to a list of riddles/clues.
The Coast Salish name these lands Xwee Xwhya Luq (pronounced Zway Why Luck), meaning ‘a place that has beauty, beauty that is not only seen but also felt.’
No need to pre-register! Simply print off a form (as a take-along reference), make note of the answers, and then fill out the online form on the Active Comox Valley website (July 1 to August 31, 2021) with your responses for a chance to win prizes.
